The Master’s Degree Show at GSA gave me the opportunity to bring my thesis to life. I utilised the objects and memories that my case studies had presented me with, in such a way that enabled the exhibition viewer to understand how it feels to struggle to locate a memory amongst a tangled web.
Thiry-six objects were photographed, framed and displayed on the wall, and from each frame a length of string led the viewer to the story associated with that object.
It was a successful portrayal of what can physiologically occur in the brain of a person living with Alzheimer’s, and I received very positive feedback from exhibition visitors.
